Course objectives:

The course aims to introduce students to topical German texts (using contemporary language) written to various topics related to modern society living in German speaking countries. To develop receptive and productive students? skills in the area of listening and speaking based on text work, to enlarge vocabulary concerning discussed topic. During the course we put emphasis on quality, articulate and language-correct speech.
The course is led by a native speaker. (Supposed language knowledge B2)

Requirements on student
|
Active class participation, homework, presentation and a dialogue on a topic discussed previously in class. Class attendance is compulsory by decision of the Dean.

Selected authentic texts and topics relate to the following areas of modern social life in German speaking countries:
- Germans engaged in something

- differences between Czech and German culture
- home, Europe, world
- human society and present problems
