Course objectives:
|
The aim of this course is to gain basic knowledge of various aspects human health and its protection for teacher training for the 1 and 2 primary school; to makes studets aware of basic problems of education to health care in primary (secondary) schools in the context of EU requirements.

Requirements on student
|
Students are expected to write a seminar paper and to pass the knowledge test.

1. The concept of health and healthy personality. Mental hygiene and its importance.
2. Prevention of psychosomatic diseases. Diagnosis, prevention and stress management.
3. The theory of social support. Emotion and human health. Pupils and teachers neurosis.
4. Mental hygiene in school. Detrimental health behavior. The social climate of schools and school classes.
5. The importance of psychosocial skills in mental health protecting.
6. The role of nutrition in disease prevention. Healthy eating habits. Psychosomatics.
7. Diseases, how to prevent them and how to treat them. Natural aplication of health protect.
8. Biological assumptions of healthy parenting.
9. Physical activity and its impact on the human life, its role in disease prevention.
10. Accidents and injuries. Safety and health protection. First aid.
11. Health physical education. Prevention and treatment of health impairments. Weekend sports and physical education.
12. Healthy lifestyle. Manager's own health. Healthy families, healthy schools, healthy workplaces, healthy city.
