Course objectives:
|
The aim of this course is to gain basic knowledge of psychology of the personality and their key theories. This course also broadens the knowledge of some characteristics of own personality, their possible determination and self-regulation.

Knowledge - students are expected to possess the following knowledge before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
- to describe basic knowledge of general psychology in the scope of secondary school education |
- Know the key psychic characteristics of your own personality, special abilities, skills, attitudes, ways of responding |
- briefly characterize the personality of their parents (ie parents), ie to list key features, special abilities, skills, attitudes, responses, interests, etc. |
Skills - students are expected to possess the following skills before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
- to interpret independently the results of non-standardized personality questionnaires and tests |
- to analyze (compare) the basic characteristics of their personality with the results of self-knowledge techniques that measure these properties |

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
- Describe the notion of personality, to clarify the basic approaches of its investigation |
- Explain the main models of personality determination |
- Characterize the individual components of personality (motivation, character, attitudes, self-regulation, temperament, its basic typology, abilities, talent, intelligence, creativity) |
- List the basic knowledge of personality formation in difficult life situations (frustration, deprivation, stress and conflict) |
Skills - skills resulting from the course: |
- to self-reflection of their own personality, ie to describe and critically evaluate the results of non-standardized techniques focused on self-knowledge |
- to recognize the possible factors of determining the development of some characteristics of their personality, ie to try to distinguish the features inherited from ancestors from the properties acquired during the development |
- Apply the theoretical knowledge about coping with difficult life situations when dealing with them in their lives |
- write a seminar paper on "The description of some of my personality characteristics, their possible determinations and self-regulation" |
Competences - competences resulting from the course: |
bc. studies: they acquire additional professional knowledge, skills and competences on the basis of practical experience and its evaluation, as well as by independent study of the theoretical knowledge of the field |
