Course objectives:
|
The course is aimed at getting an overview of the developmental specifics of Russian literature of the 19th century compared with the literary development in the countries of Western Europe. The close connection between Russian literature with the historical and political developments in Czarist Russia, and the fact that Russian literature dealt with the issues which in Western Europe have been the subject to the examination of other areas of social consciousness are accentuated.
