Course objectives:
|
This course is intended for follow-up / master's students. The course aims to connect the ethnographic / anthropological knowledge of students with museum practice and to present the possibilities of employment of KSA graduates in the field of ethnographic museology. Students will get acquainted with the basics of ethnographic museum practice, basic museological terminology, as well as legislation that defines the activities of museum institutions. Attention will also be paid to outlining the history of collection activities in the Czech lands and in selected countries. Special emphasis will be placed on the practical side of the functioning of European ethnographic museums and museums of ethnic minorities.

Seminar work, essay. The student will present a essay on the topic in agreement with the teacher of the subject.
