Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to provide students with the foundational knowledge of the development of the European society, primarily from the French Revolution and the Napoleonic Wars till the revolution years 1848 - 1849. During the lectures, students will be acquaint with the latest findings from the Czech and foreign historiography on selected topics. The knowledge will be extended in the seminars through analysis of texts of that period and discussions about the reception of different topics by the Czech and foreign historians.
