Course objectives:
|
The course presents concrete empirical studies from the area of sociological research of communication processes. It aims at main fields of recent research. Students are taught to be criticall towards such research and to suggest fruitfull alternatives.

- assess advantages and disadvantages of methodology used in assigned materials

- suggest how to improve analysed methodology
- suggest alternative hypotheses and methodology for assessing their validity
- acquire suitable data
- assess validity of their alternative hypotheses
- present outputs in their own research paper, eg. students are able to:
- define research questions and hypotheses
- give theoretical reasons for their hypotheses
