Course objectives:

Introduce students to the basic problems of terminology and the creation of individual motor programmes and to present role models for the course recreational fitness programmes. Based on the initial diagnostic examination to assess the state of musculoskeletal individual client and make to him individually targeted program of fitness corrective exercises.

Requirements on student
|
Theoretical analysis of the exercises practiced during the semester and the problems of their practical applications. Continuous demonstration of practical exercises during the semester. Participation in health-oriented and fitness-oriented movement activity programs. Seminar work. Entrance diagnostics and assessment of musculoskeletal movement regimen of a particular individual. Credit test.

Introduction to teaching, safety instructions, credit requirements.
Creation of exercise plans for different age and functional groups of individuals, health bases of applied programs.
Health related programs - stretching and toning exercises (Pilates, Power Yoga, Tai-chi).
Fitness-oriented programs - elements of functional training (Flowin, TRX, circuit training).
Health-oriented outdoor programs (Nordic Walking, Nordic running).
Fitness-oriented programs - aerobic programs (Heat, Alpinning).
Health and functional bases for weight training and strengthening on machines.
Exercises in fitness - health aspects of strengthening back and abdominal muscles.
Exercises in fitness - health aspects of strengthening the muscles of the chest and shoulders.
Exercises in fitness - health aspects of strengthening arm muscles, deep stabilizing system of the spine.
Exercises in fitness - health aspects of strengthening pelvic muscles, the correct position of the pelvis.
Exercises in fitness - health aspects of strengthening the muscles of the lower extremities.
Credit test, fulfilling credit requirements.

to have basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology studied at the university |
to have knowledge of muscle function tests and basic entrance movement diagnostics |
to apply the knowledge gained in the subject Sports Training, Anthropomotorics and Recreology |

to practically apply the issue of health exercise to selected individuals |
to diagnose the wrong position of body segments and optimize positioning of a client in basic exercise positions |
to set up basic parameters of fitness and health training for a specific client |
to have personal experience with some type of strength training |
