Course objectives:
|
The goal is that students gained knowledge about the design and implementation of a teaching unit visual art education exercised in practice, and to learn to reflect on the lessons learned.
|
Requirements on student
|
Written preparation for the teaching of art education units. Preparations will be developed according to a recommended structure, including detailed didactic analyses.
The realization of outputs.
Written elaboration of didactic analyses and reflective balance sheets of the implemented outcomes.
Active participation in seminars aimed at reflection on the teaching.

Content
|
1. Didactic structure of preparation for teaching art education.
2. The Framework Educational Programme RVP ZV and RVP G and specification of its expected outcomes for the field of art education.
3. Types of activities, organizational forms, and methods in art education.
4. Didactic transformation of the content and implementation of the curriculum - reflection on the links between the objectives, curriculum, and educational content in the field of art and culture.
5. Conceptual and pictorial maps as a tool for visualizing the structure of the art education teaching unit (in conceptual analysis, with support in the 3A methodology).
6. Parameters of contemporary art education and criteria of a quality art task, contemporary art as an inspirational basis for planning art tasks for students.
7. Communication in art education - the function of reflective dialogue and formative assessment.
8. Pre- or post-structured records of lesson observations (observation sheets, reflective balance sheets) - possibilities of applying some methods of pedagogical research for understanding phenomena in teaching and improving it.
9. Didactic analysis of the implemented teaching unit.
10. Presentation of the outcomes of the practice and group reflection on the teaching situations from the implemented teaching unit.
11. Reflection on teacher-student interactions in the implemented teaching unit.
12. Questions of evaluation of pupils' artworks.
13. Evaluation of the educational potential of the art tasks and possibilities of further improvement of teaching.
