Course objectives:
|
By the aid of the course a student will acquire the basic knowledge of children's art work and he will develop the teachers competencies for planning kindergarten art activities according to the current concept of art education. He evaluates the general contribution of art education to development of child's personality in kindergarten. He distinguishes and assesses various concepts and variations of art education. He recognizes the specific developmental characteristics of pre-school children that are important to the adequate assessment of their visual expression and the choice of convenient creative tasks. In the ontogenesis of children's artistic expression, he characterizes some important phases and describes the specific features of children's art work. Contemporary
visual art is considered as a source of inspiration for creative tasks for kindergarten children.

Credit:
To prepare a written commentary on the chosen professional publication related to the content of the course;
To elaborate in written form the suggestion of solution of a creative task meant for a group of children in kindergarten according to the given structure;
Participate in at least 75% of seminars.
