Course objectives:
|
This course is intended only for lifelong learning participants. The aim of this subject is to equip the participant with the skills to practically master photographic techniques, to apply photographic principles and procedures. Deepening of one's own photographic work in the areas of individual genres (still life, portrait, landscape, architecture, live and documentary photography). Guidance for the creative solution of individual tasks. Graduates of the course Principles of photography - lecture series can practically apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in this course, especially during: practical exercises from studio digital photography, photographic vision, choice of subject, composition, image composition, work with studio lighting, practice in a photography studio, work with external flash in the interior, exterior, creation of an improvised home studio, use of alternative lighting (flashlight, projector), work with selected photographic genres - portrait/figure, still life, abstraction, architecture, landscape, live photography.

Requirements on student
|
Regular attendance at the seminar, active work in class, completion of partial tasks according to assigned topics. Participation in classes in the minimum range of 75% (in case of serious circumstances can be modified by the guarantor of the subject).

Content
|
Indicative content of individual seminars (can be modified by the teacher during the lesson):
1. Introduction to the issue. Assignment of semester assignments. Acquaintance with the working environment and possibilities of the faculty and workplace. Digital camera parameters and settings. Acquaintance with studio technique. Setup and use of studio lighting. Practical demonstrations of photography in the studio.
2. Indoor photography. Choice of topic according to assignment. Linear composition, rhythm in the picture. Found still life. Architecture: whole versus detail.
3. Photography in the studio using studio flashes. Portrait, figure.
4. Photography in the studio using studio flashes. Portrait, figure, movement.
5. Photography in the studio using studio flashes. Portrait, figure, movement.
6. Indoor photography using external flashes in different exposure modes.
7. Photography in the studio. Still life. Product photo. Reproduction.
8. Photography in the studio. Still life. Product photo. Glass.
9. Motion in photography. Abstract photography.
10. Outdoor photography: architecture/landscape.
11. Outdoor photography: architecture/landscape.
12. Live Photography. Urban landscape.
13. Live photography. Evaluation of completed assignments.
Individual lessons can be supplemented with examples of photographs and the projection of documentary films. The created photos are consulted and evaluated together.
