Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to broaden the knowledge that students have acquired in the course Film formation 2 and its application in more complex procedures in the creation of an audiovisual work. Students will learn to work with more advanced technology which influences both audio and visual components of audiovisual works.

1. Subject and screenplay of the film.
2. Film production, technical means of film-making and their choice depending on the subject.

4. HDTV, HDV, Digital Cinema in connection with recording and distributing video.
5. Aesthetics of film images.
6. Audio and video film dramaturgy.
7. Color correction of images in film and video.
8. Contemporary documentary film in the Czech Republic.

To have basic knowlegde of using a camcorder, sound, editing software. |
to compare and analyze different artistic expressions by criteria of esthetics, semiotics and technique on advanced level related to film creation,
to specify professional knowledge of supporting arts disciplines and their techniques and technologies, options of overlop of film production to other disciplines,
to reproduce knowledge about advanced visual means suitable for movie creation and their usage by different tools and editors, |
Skills - students are expected to possess the following skills before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
to be able to use on advanced tools and means of work with camera, sound and editing softwares and to apply theoretical knowledge about them on technical and technological level,
to design visual graphics metaphors with erudition on options of movie creations, to draw a simple scenario for a basic film unit,
in a few steps to describe the story through means of artistic expression,
to work independently and flexibly react to evaluating commentary of the teacher,
to show own creativity on generally assigned task, to show the will to find different artistic solutions, alter them and constructivelly evaluate |
