Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to guide students in a field of motion graphic art. Teach them to work with animated typography and graphic arts. Inform students about rules for various forms of animated graphic arts, genres, formats and their history and inspiration.

Requirements on student
|
Credit requirements: - 80% attendance at seminars, - Fulfilment of all tasks as directed by the seminar teacher, - Presentation of work in seminars.

Content
|
Weeks 1 - 13 - Introduction to the course of the semester, the teacher's requirements, assignment of semester project and deadlines set by the teacher - Exploring inspirational sources and technological possibilities - Continuous assigning a task to students, consultation, correction and submission of partial seminar tasks - Working out a screenplay and storyboard - Graphic arrangement - Animation - Continuous consultation of semestral project - Submission a final version of semestral project in term set by the teacher - Presentation according to the teacher's requirements, defence.

Knowledge - students are expected to possess the following knowledge before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
to reproduce basic forms of motion design with their technological and expressional specifics,
to compare and analyze different artistic expressions by criteria of esthetics, semiotics and technique on basic level,
to specify basic knowledge of supporting arts discipline,
of basic forms and formats usable for creating motion design projects, |
Skills - students are expected to possess the following skills before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
to use basic technical and technological procedures for creating motion graphics and typology,
to design visual graphics metaphors with erudition on options of motion design,
to work independently and activelly and flexibly react to evaluating commentary of the teacher,
to show own creativity on generally assigned task, to show the will to find different artistic solutions, alter them and constructivelly evaluate, |

about advanced forms and usages of motion graphic including its technical and technological specifics,

to recall particulas examples of usages of motion design and their specific parameters dependand on their purpose, |

to design adn realize a simple motion graphics project aimed to own discipline and to suggest its different forms in different phases of work,
to apply common knowledge of motion graphics and typography and common programs for their creating,
