Course objectives:
|
Subject contains the history of Czech animated film focusing on animation techniques and their specifics. These are practical examples of design and technology Czech animated films. History, development and individual major works of Czech animated film. Acquainted students with the various techniques and technological processes used in their implementation.

Knowledge - students are expected to possess the following knowledge before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
about project planning (sketches, scenarios, storyboards, animation works), content analysis of the subject and its structuring into the scenario,
of technological procedures in the field of animation exercises and cartoon animation or computer animation disciplines,
of particular animating techniques and technology procedures used in the realization of significant Czech animated films, of most important pieces of Czech animated film,
of basic specific of Czech animated film, its history and evolution,
of knowledge of basic animators and programators terminology, to understand the relationship between both disciplines, the relativness of both disciplines with aesthetics, psychology, semiotics |
Skills - students are expected to possess the following skills before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
plans an animation exercise project or simple task, to organize own work and divide it into particular phases,
to reproduce a story by the artistic expressive means, to creat basic story board based on analysis of planed motive and story
to realize animated work for internet, TV or animation using typography,
to use basic animators techniques, procedures and programs for artistic creative expression,
to work independently and flexibly react to evaluating commentary of the teacher
to show own creativity on generally assigned task, to show the will to find different artistic solutions, alter them and constructivelly evaluate |

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
of basic pieces of czech movie and film production, its history and progress and its important elements and specifications,
of particular animating techniques and technology procedures used in the realization of significant Czech aniated films on advanced level,
of problematics of digitally enhanced puppet movie,
of options of combinations of animation techniques, of combination of feature and animated movie and interactive aplications,
of knowledge of basic animators and programators terminology, to understand the relationship between both disciplines and other supporting artistic and technical disciplines,
about historical and contemporary style canons used in different genres of art and animated production and its styization |
Skills - skills resulting from the course: |
to analyze and interpret different forms of animated films on the technological, aesthetic and semantic level,
to work with character of a viewer or targeted society and to explain influence of those factor on the work, from first designs to final work,
to use basic animators techniques, procedures and programs for creative expression, to recognize a wide range of animation technologies,
to be able to accept and assert in a way the evaluation and critical response, is able of own basic reflection of own work,
reflects its work in the context of professional, technical and technological processes, |
