Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to equip students with competencies for independent audiovisual production and the development of professional knowledge that builds on the work of students in previous teaching of a similar focus, or the student acquired them through self-study. To develop students' ability to identify individual genres and ways of working with audiovisual information and apply them to a specific semester project that corresponds to the chosen level of the subject. In the context of the assigned topic, teach students to independently recognize the most appropriate means for implementation, to design appropriate solutions for visual and audio components and individually or in a team to work on their implementation.

Requirements on student
|
Requirements for granting credit:
- participation in seminars min. 80%
- submission of the project of the semester qualification thesis (film) within the deadline determined by the teacher
-participation in lectures by specialists in the field
Requirements for passing the exam:
- previous successful credit
- regular participation in consultations min. 80%,
-completion and submission of other assigned tasks in the specified scope and deadlines
- at least two consultations with the teacher on the final work in the phase determined by the teacher (rough cut and off-line)
- submission and defense of a semester project (film) that meets the requirements in all components
-submission within the set deadline, if the deadline is not met, it will not be accepted for evaluation

Content

This subject of the follow-up master's study can be enrolled as his so-called second studio.
1. - 13.
- Introduction of requirements, acquaintance with the requirements for the semester project, dates of individual phases of the project.
- Requirements for the elaboration of a theme, scenario, event, storyboard.
- Consultation and correction of the topic.
- Assignment of partial exercises according to the nature of the project.
- Analysis of the model situation according to the theme of the film with a sample of the relevant genre
- Individual consultations and scenario corrections.
- Presentation of thematic exercises (projection with analysis and discussion)
- Visualization of the situation as a basic means of expression of the film.
- Lecture by an expert lecturer taking into account the topics of semester projects.
- Collective seminar
- Off-line film consultation.
- Finalization of the project in all components
- Submission and presentation in the form of a final screening
For level 2. recommended:
Short feature film 2 (exterier) - an author's film reflecting the personal experience or opinion of the listener.
Documentary film 2 - a documentary film reflecting the personal statement of the author about an event or action.

Knowledge - students are expected to possess the following knowledge before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
mastered the basics of working with a camera, sound and editing software
at an advanced level to compare and analyze various artistic expressions from the aesthetic, semiotic and technical point of view with regard to the means of filmmaking,
specify professional knowledge from supporting artistic disciplines and their techniques and technologies, the possibility of overlapping film production into other disciplines,
reproduce knowledge of advanced visual aids suitable for filmmaking and their use by various tools and editors |
Skills - students are expected to possess the following skills before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
use at an advanced level the means and tools for working with the camera, sound and editing software, and apply the related theoretical technical and technological knowledge,
to design visual metaphors with a free hand even through basic graphic editors, focusing on the possibilities of filmmaking, to design a simple script for a basic film department,
in several steps to tell the story by means of artistic expression,
work independently and respond flexibly to the evaluation comments of the teacher,
show one's own creativity in relation to general assignments and the will to look for various artistic solutions, alter them and constructively evaluate |
