Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to teach students to distinguish themselves clearly from the existing photographic phenomena and define quality, authenticity and creative potential which he/she has. Student's talent and ability to meet a required creative task in time and on a given topic will be checked. The emapasis will be given on the student´s own contribution.

Requirements on student
|
Requirements for the exam and its passing:
- 75% active participation in consultations and lectures,
- Ongoing consultation and submissions of the assigned tasks in the required quality and by deadlines set by the teacher
- Compliance of all other seminar tasks in time and in accordance with the specifications of the teacher,
- processing, submission, presentation and defence of the semestral project in the required quality and within the specified time,
- to submission 2 DVDs (resp. CD) with a stored complete final work (KP) - in accordance with the Dean´s regulation

1. Semestral work + general introduction to the topic + lecture on photographic individuality.
2. lecture and discussion on the topic of the leaders of contemporary world photography. (External lecturer, art theorist.)
3. Consultation of author´s project concept.
4. Implementation of photos.

10. Final selection of pictures + harmonization of the content.

Setting the terms for ongoing consultations and class assignments and the final semester project final semestral work.
Setting the deadline for submission of fully completed semester final project - in accordance with the requirements of the teacher.
Setting the deadline for submission of the other required tasks according to the teacher's requirements.
Student creates an author´s photo set, in which he/she only focuses on his/her own artistic and craftsmanship. The set is not limited either by its content or form, but it must create a comprehensive project, which is a clear testimony to the author's profile.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge - students are expected to possess the following knowledge before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
Skills to present his/her photographic work in the form of author´s book; understand the difference between monography. Create a model, paying special attention to the selection of the topic, the selection and composition of video material, communication significence, rhythm and graphic design.
The ability to establish cooperation with a graphic designer.
The course is designed exclusively for FDA students. |
