Course objectives:

The aim of the course is to teach a student, through dialogue, an optimal procedure how to handle and realize a creative task according to the assignment of bachelor thesis. Furthermore, the aim is to familiarize the students with writing of professional text in accordance with the given rules; to instruct them in formal necessities of theoretical part of the thesis.

Requirements on student
|
Credit requirements:
- Regular active participation in seminars,
- Systematic study of literature and other sources in accordance with the specifications of the thesis,
- Following the established work schedule and guidelines (continuous fulfilment of tasks during the semester as advised by the supervisor)
- In-time submission of the final version of the theoretical and practical parts of the thesis imperatively followed by consultation, including the latest version of the thesis on electronic media,

Weeks 1 - 13
Systematic work with sources.
Systematic implementation of a visual art task.
Systematic writing of the theoretical part.
Regular consultations.
Writing of artistic and theoretical parts of the thesis in the specified time and scope according to specifications.
Saving the final version of the complete work on CD.

Previous completion of theoretical courses and studio courses of artistic character. Ability to write academic texts. Ability to create independently.

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
Students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to best fulfill assigned artistic and theoretical tasks. They will be able to objectively evaluate their capabilities and abilities, to design and evaluate the most appropriate solution, including its implementation in a given period of time. They will be able to usefully complement visual realizations with a relevant specialized text. They will be able to store both the practical and the theoretical parts of their thesis on electronic media, and then defend their work. |
