Course objectives:

The aim of the course is to verify the student's ability of independent creative and research activities in the field of study and specialization according to the asignment of the thesis (choice of appropriate methods, analysis of the documents, own contribution of a student to solving the issue, individual realization of a piece of work and writing of a professional text in accordance with the given rules).

Requirements on student
|
Credit requirements:
- Regular active participation in seminars.
- Orderly studying literature and other resources in keeping with the sassignment of the bachelor work.
- Respecting the given tasks schedule and methodical instructions of the work supervisor (continuous completing tasks throughout the semester according to the supervisor´s instructions)
- Handing in the final version on time set by the supervisor, the supervisor getting both the theoretical and practical part of the work to be consulted, including saving the last version on an electronic device.
- Showing a PC presentation of the work prepared for the State Final Exam defence by the date set by the supervisor.
Installing the final artwork in a suitable space according to the supervisor´s instructions.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge - students are expected to possess the following knowledge before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
equip and apply the knowledge gained by completing the compulsory and compulsory optional subjects of the common base and specialized subjects, whose subject matter consists of the areas of the final state examination,
equip and apply the knowledge of writing technical texts and technical and technological processes |
Successful completion of the relevant theoretical courses and studio art courses; from previous studies the knowledge of writing an academic text and the ability to independently make a film. Basic knowledge of typography of theses is an advantage. Previously obtained credit from course GDDS1.

Skills - students are expected to possess the following skills before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
to write a search on a given topic of a thesis,
study recommended literature and resources presenting the level achieved in relevant art or design disciplines,
to write the author's intentions as a reflection and interpretation of the solved problem,
create a technical and technological report describing the resulting artifact
critically assess the quality of custom solutions to a given problem in the context of the appropriate reference framework,
present and discuss the views, values and preferred solutions to the supervisor and the professional public |

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
apply the knowledge gained during the study to solve a given problem
critically assesses its own creation and puts it into wider social and cultural contexts
presents and advocates the chosen final solution in relation to the creation process, the proposed options, and through professionally formulated courts,
arguing and considering opposing views |
Students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to optimize fulfilment of challenging artistic tasks assigned. They will be able to objectively evaluate their capabilities and abilities to design and evaluate the most appropriate solution, including its implementation in a given period of time. They will be able to suitably complement visual realizations with appropriate professional text at required level. They will be able to save the final version of the thesis on electronic media. They will be able to introduce their project in the form of a PC presentation and to defend it. |

flexible responses to difficult-to-predict events affecting technical, technological, project-based solutions, or thematic changes arising from the nature of the creative process
