Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to teach the students, who attend this course as their second atelier, the creation of orientation systems and the unique visual style. Further, to enable them to specialize in specific field of graphic design according to an individual talent or to learn the different types of tasks within the wide scope of graphic design.

Requirements on student
|
Credit requirements:
- Regular active participation in seminars - at least 80 per cent.
- Completion and submission of all specified studio sub-tasks (seminar works) in the extent and deadlines set by the teacher.
Requirements for passing the exam:
- Previously obtained credit,
- Demonstrating inventiveness and craft abilities,
- Compulsory corrections of semester project,
- Submitting and defending semester project
- Presentation.

Content
|
Students of master's program can enroll in this course as in so-called second studio.
Weeks 1 - 13 - Determination of principles for communication during the semester, assignment of the topic of semester project. - Ongoing studies and practical verification of the specifics of visual systems formation. - Mutual consultations on proposed solutions. - Continuous study of possibilities and methods of team work on the project. - Practical team work training. - Continuous production and consultations about the project. - Continuous production and consultations about seminar papers. - Presentation.

V sérii předmětů větve Grafický design může student absolvovat postupně pestrou paletu úkolů z pole grafického designu, jako je návrh značky, logotypu, vyřešení navštívenky, dopisního papíru, přes orientační systémy, jednotný vizuální styl firmy, návrhy plakátů reklamních, divadelních, filmových; grafické řešení knih, design obalu, ale také práce pro nová média, www stránky, televize, video, atp. Student se po dohodě s pedagogem může, buď úzce specializovat pouze na jednu oblast, nebo se postupně seznámí s problematikou různých typů úloh grafického designu..

Students will be equipped with skills for making orientation systems (for short-term or long-term use; for particular places or events) and an integrated visual style (for companies, institutions, schools, etc.). Depending on the task assignment, they will be able to analyze the problems, develop several proposals of solutions and use the ideal option to carry out the work.
