Course objectives:
|
The course is intended for students in the doctoral study program.
Orientation in the field of art is primarily and secondarily influenced by digital means. A study of the literature covering this phenomenon (McLuhan, Manovich, Hui). Familiarization with institutions dealing with new technologies (ZKM, Vašulka Kitchen Brno / Center for New Media Art). Visits to exhibitions and discussions confront practical experience with theoretical knowledge.

- preparation of a contribution (pdf presentation + short essay) developing one's work including the topic of the subject - active participation in discussions based on individual topics
Requirements for passing the exam:
- an exam in the scope of knowledge of the subject matter and study literature.

formulate and write down your thoughts in a coherent language unit

interpret with the help of technical terms reproduced or otherwise presented examples of works of art, or visually figurative expressions,
analyze the text and context of a work of art and art,
to realize the values shaping one's own opinions in the field of artistic-aesthetic judgments,

recognizes the specific side of new media in their expression of movement and transformation
media interactivity is represented as a general principle of the current attitude to reality |
