Course objectives:
|
The course is intended for students of the doctoral study program.
The general aim of the course is to introduce the student to the basic issues of the relationship between science, scientific research, and art with emphasis on the gnoseological functions of both modes of human expression. Emphasis will be placed on the qualitative pole of research activities (action, critical research), which are close to current approaches in the field of art sciences and arts: visual criticism and the so-called "art of protest" (culture jamming, subvertising, performance, social experiment), or which enable content analysis of various forms of meaning-making (N. Goodman, Strauss, A. L.; Corbinová, J.) in artistic creation and processes. The specific objectives of the course will be adjusted in accordance with a purely individual approach to students of the doctoral study program on the basis of the doctoral project presented by the students. Competently, the student moves the subject mainly in the field of reflection, interpretation and analysis of artistic creation in a broader cultural context.
