Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to provide the students with basic knowledge for creation by means of vector and bitmap graphics program (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Requirements on student
|
Credit requirements:
- Regular active participation in seminars, - Continuous submission of seminar tasks assigned, including regular submission for the consultation, - Realization and submission of the project.

Weeks 1 - 13
Introduction, assignment of tasks.
Photoshop - possibility of working with selections; mask, basics of work with colors and layers.
Photoshop - advanced techniques of working with color, blending modes.
Photoshop - advanced technology of work with layers, masks, trimming groups.
Photoshop - retouching.
Illustrator - basics of creating objects (strokes, fills).
Illustrator - basics of transformations of objects.
The seminar will not be held for professional reasons / individual students' work.

to compare and analyze different artistic expressions by criteria of esthetics, semiotics and technique on basic level,
to specify basic knowledge of supporting arts disciplines and their techniques and technologies,
about historical and contemporary style canons,
to recall basic knowledge of several common graphical editors with their specifics and usages,

to work independently and flexibly react to evaluating commentary of the teacher,
make drawing sketches of their own compositional designs by hands free in basic graphic editors
develop research on the topic,
to show own creativity on generally assigned task, to show the will to find different artistic solutions, alter them and constructivelly evaluate,
to plan a simple project from design to realization, |
