Course objectives:
|
To introduce students to the electricity grid and its management. Understand the production cooperation in the electricity grid, interconnection and frequency control. To become familiar with the transmission performance, the principles of dispatching management and control of power unit or management alternatives. Understand the regulatory circuitry of boilers, steam turbines management and control valves. Recognizing actuators, hydraulic control system and electronic control systems. Meet the turbine control during start-up, a new direction for turbine control, dynamic characteristics of controlled systems and elements of the dynamic model turbines with their mathematical description. Clarify control and automation sources for heat and control and automation of heating appliances. Understand the reactor as a controlled system, regulation of the primary circuit of nuclear power plants and devices for measuring the performance of the reactor.

Content
|
Content of lectures:
1. Basic terms. Power system and operating. Regulation of power system. Interconnection of power systems and international cooperation (UCTE). Requirements for connection of blocks into UCTE. Codex of transmission system.
2. Automatic regulation of power system. Regulation of frequency and output power in system.
3. Regulation of power plant block, cooperation boiler-turbine. Introduction into regulation of steam boilers, systems of centralized supply of heat.
4. Regulation of nuclear unit with power water reactor(PWR). Introduction in regulation of steam turbines.
5. Design of regulatory and fast-closing steam armature of turbine. Bases of regulation of turbine and thermodynamic principles (regulation: throlling, group, sliding pressure etc.).
6. Simple mechanical regulator of turbine, static characteristics. Explanation of a term: statics regulation, exchanger of mean speed, regulation of rotation speed and output of independently operating turbogenerator or unit in extended power system.
7. Mechanical arrangement of valves of turbines with lower output ( half-time shaft or girder). Regulation of back-pressure and extraction turbines. Classic hydraulic regulation of ŠKODA turbines.
8. Utilization of electronic systems necessary for regulation of turbines. Series and parallel sequencing of electronics and hydraulics. Electronic operation of turbine.
9. Utilization of commercial high-pressure hydraulics necessary for operation with turbine valves. Electronic protective systems of rotation speed.
10. Protection of turbine. Distributated control system (DCS) of power plant block.
Obsah cvičení:
1. Brief bases of theory of linear regulation, block scheme of regulatory circuits. Transmission.
2. Survey of P,PI,PID regulators and dynamic properties.
3. Dynamics of starting of rotor system of turbine, mathematical description, calculation of sweep.
4. Function of hydraulic servo-drive, static and dynamic properties, mathematical description
5. Simplified model of regulatory circuit of speed and output of turbine. Mathematical description.
6. Description of scheme of hydraulic regulation of Škoda turbine.
7. Theory of evaluation of thermal mechanical stress of critical point of turbine.
8. Mathematical models of thermal mechanical stress, mapping, regulation.
9. Examples of block schemes of structures of selected regulatory circuits of block.
10. Examples of analysis of operator´s workplace of control system, illustration of screens of monitors necessary for control of turbine.
