Course objectives:
|
The course is intended to give students a good insight into the following areas: basics of design welded constructions based on type value of allowable stresses, weldability of materials, welding consumables usage, heat treatment of welds, EN and ČSN technical standards.

Requirements on student
|
Pre-exam requirements: 4 semestral works, student presence on welding laboratory course and company excursion.
Exam: Paper and verbal examination.

Content
|
Relationship between construction, material and welding production.
Weld joint terminology, degradation of properties, weldability, principles of weld joint design, selection of base metal and consumables - according to ČSN EN 499, ČSN EN ISO 14175 and ČSN EN 10027, static and dynamic loaded structures, weld joint calculations according to ČSN 05 0120 and quality assurance applied to welded structures (ČSN 731401 a DIN 18800). Designing of aluminum welded structures.
