Course objectives:
|
To introduce students with the fundamentals of the forming, casting and welding technologies including their teoretical patterns and their application ,to offer a review of the technologic equipments and explain their advantages and disadvantages , clear up the principes of the forged and cast pieces production.

Requirements on student
|
The condition to get inclusion (credit): working-out of four semestral labours
Participation in the mandatory exercisings, i.e.: a) all practical laboratory exercisings
b)exercisings in the schoolroom, the semestral labours are ordered there
Examination: the succesful elaboration of the written part and graduation of the verbal part of the exam.

Content
|
Casting: Types of cast moulds and form equipment. Formative masses. Production of cast moulds and cores (manual, mechanical and non-conventional methods). Casting of these forms and their mechanical stress. Process of solidification and cooling of casts.Technological construction of castings.
Forging: Physical charakter and mechanism of plastic deformation. Mechanical schemes of deformation. Basic principles of plastic deformation.Derivation of deformation speed, deformation resistence, deformation strength and work. Influence of temperature on plastic properties of materials. Hot forging, cold forging.
Welding: Weldability and influencing factors. Methods of evaluation of weldability.Thermal influence on basic material. Fusion and pressure welding - individual methods. Special technologie sof welding. Thermal process of weldments. Soldering and thermal division of material.
