Course objectives:
|
The aims of this course is to extend the students' knowledge that they have gained in the public international law and law of international trade courses by specialized insight into the arena of investment protection law and the related arena of investor/state arbitration claims.

Active participation in contact hours / lecture and home reading of about 150 pages per week. Final written exam.

Student je schopen se v nástavbě na obecné mezinárodní právo zorientovat v oblasti ochrany investic, a to jak v rovině obyčejového práva (diplomatická ochrana), tak v rovinách partikulárních smluvních vztahů (BITs). V tomto smyslu se zorientuje v definicích investice, investora, standardů ochrany a převládajících doktrín, včetně kontextů evropské právní úpravy. |
