Course objectives:
|
The objective of the course is to provide detailed overview in the field of the International Public Law. The subject follows the IPL 1. With regard to the wide scope of this course, the abovementioned problematic is further developed in the number of supplemental compulsory-optional subjects.

1. The system of the protection of the Human Rights according to the Pacts on Human Rights of 1966
2. The system of the protection of the Human Rights according to the European Convention for the Protection of the Human Rights
3. Protection of the minorities in the framework of the Council of Europe
4. Diplomatic privileges and immunities according to the Vienna Convention of 1961
5. Development of the legal regulation of the reservations in the relation to the international treaties and its solution in the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties of 1969
6. The role of the United Nations Intenational Conferences and their influence on the development of the international cooperation and the International Law
7. The role of the Security Council and the General Assembly of the United Nations in the peace-keeping in the world

Learning outcomes
|
Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
Students become acquainted with the international organisations. The emphasis is placed not only on the so-called "peace law", but also on so called humanitarian law, with international protection of human rights, and that all in the whole historical development, including peaceful resolution of the international disputes. They get acquainted with the international legal regulation of the economic relations and basic principles of the European a world integration efforts, especially in the European Union. |
Předmět umožní studentům porozumět mechanismům mezinárodního práva veřejného a jeho základním konceptům. Studenti získají povědomí o ústředních problémech spojených s aplikací mezinárodního práva na aktuální dění ve světě. |
Skills - skills resulting from the course: |
Úspěšní absolventi předmětu budou schopni aplikovat základní koncepty mezinárodního práva veřejného v mezinárodním i vnitrostátním kontextu, prohloubí si schopnost studovat a rozumět rozsudkům mezinárodních soudů a tribunálů a budou vybaveni nástroji nezbytnými pro kritickou reflexi aktuálních problémů týkajících se této právní oblasti. |
