Course objectives:

The aim of this course called "Vienna UN-Convention on International Sale of Goods" is in particular to provide students with an Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of this course "Legal status of Consuls and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations" is to acquaint students with issues that are not paid attention in the literature with emphasis on the history and current legal status of Consuls and Honorary Consuls. An integral part of the course will be to familiarize students with the detailed regulation of rights and obligations of Consul and Honorary Consuls and their privileges, immunities and functions. The seminars will focus on the analysis of the application of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations and on bilateral consular agreements concluded in the past.

Within the course "Legal status of consuls and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations" focuses on discussing current issues related to the position of Consuls and Honorary Consuls within the application of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, and therefore active participation of students in teaching will be required. This may include the need for individual training, eg specifying the benefits, privileges and immunities of Consuls, the judicial functions of Consuls, which will then be discussed in the course.
