Course objectives:
|
This main goal of this course it to provide a general overview of.law and legal systems for businesses and business conduct. It covers the nature and sources of law, court systems, and the substantive areas of constitutional law, contracts, torts, criminal law, and property from and within the EU continental as well as USA business perspectives. The course is geared towards providing students with a basic knowledge of all aspects of the law, critical legal thinking, and a comparative approach to the continental law and common law systems, while underlying impact and consequences for business. Emphasis is placed on a good overview and understanding of most practical and typical legal issues related to business conduct, such as business form selection, contracting, intellectual property, etc. The course is though in English language.
