Course objectives:
|
This main goal of this course it to provide a general overview of intellectual property the common law and continental law perception and their international and national regulation. It covers all types of intellectual property, its assets and rights arising from it. A particular attention is paid to description of particular features of copyright, trademark, patents, trade secret and domain names along with other Internet particularities. The course is geared towards providing students with a basic knowledge of all aspects of Intellectual property law, critical legal thinking, as well as with skills to select, protect and use various intangible assets covered by intellectual property law. The course is though in English language.

History of the Intellectual Property - International Treaties and Conventions 5. Copyright 6. Designation industrial property - trademarks, appellation of origin. 7. Solution industrial property - patents, utility models? 8. Other intellectual property - domain names, know-how, trade secret 9. Licensing IP, Enforcement of IP 10. Team presentations. The course is though in English language.
