Course objectives:
|
The course deepens the knowledge of Roman law and the ability to work independently with sources or literature devoted to Roman law. Students will be guided in the form of a simulated trial to orient themselves in the basic institutes of the Roman peacock, including their anchoring in sources, especially the Corpus iuris civilis collection, the Gaia Institutions and other sources, and learn to use them for their own legal argumentation in the process of applying law.

Requirements on student
|
Credit will be awarded when attending classes for the elaboration of a written solution to the case, which will certify the skills listed in the annotation. In the event that a student has enrolled in the subject of Roman Law II, the victory in the oral round of the faculty Moot court will be considered a completed credit also for this compulsory subject.

Content
|
1. Introduction to the subject, form of teaching, materials and literature, evaluation. Basic information about the importance of Roman law in legal argumentation. 2. Basic orientation in the sources of Roman law, Corpus iuris civilis, its structure and system. Interpretation of sources and their interpretation. 3. Basics of the Roman civil process, lawsuit - litigation test and procedural institutes - sentencing. 4. Preparation for a written solution of the case, factual and legal argumentation. 5. Solution of the case of Roman law using sources (written round of Moot court) 6. Simulated civil trial (oral round of Moot court)
