Course objectives:

Bachelor program students should be familiar with the basic institutions of private law. Attention will be paid to the general part of the Civil Code, Law of inheritance, family law and general law of contract arrangements.

Students must demonstrate knowledge of the taught material the course is concluded by an oral examination.

Introductory definition - meaning of private law, sources, development and principles of private law, civil law subjects, legal representation in civil law, protection of personality Objects of civil law relations, legal acts ? requisites, defects, legal events - requisites, defects, time-barred claims, time-lapsed claims General rights - right of ownership, joint ownership of spouses, shared ownership Law of inheritance Family Law Obligations - meaning, principles, contracts, consumer contracts Obligations - basic contractual types Obligations - law of offences.

The students will: - determine civil relationships and their individual components. - know in detail the legal reality, - explain the concept of legal actions - are familiar with the issue of property rights, including issues related to their protection - are knowledgeable of family law and inheritance, - are familiar with the general part of contract law, - have a very good understanding of all areas of general private law, - are able to interpret and apply legal norms regulating the fundamental legal institutes within this field |
