Course objectives:

The course aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge in the field of individual labor law in relation to the knowledge gained in the course Labour Law 1.

Credit is received by passing a written test with a subsequent oral examination based on questions from the topics presented.

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
The students
- will examine the legal aspects of all necessary activities related to the performance of dependent work, will specify the generally binding and labour-law regulations.
- will describe how and why acts are changed and what are the consequences of these changes in the labour-law area.
- will create a timeline of the development of legal regulation of employment law relationships and will put the information gained into an international law context.
- will apply theoretical knowledge to model situations dealing with case studies of contractual relationships in the area of labour law.
- will relate employment law relationships with civil law relationships.
- will choose a functioning solution with regard to the outputs stated.
The students are capable of
- analyzing the merits of commencement, change and termination of employment relationships
- orienting themselves in the principles of concluding employment contracts, performing basic changes of rights and duties of employees and employers in employment relationship and exercising legal actions leading to the termination of employment relationship
- correctly examining and interpreting non-mandatory and mandatory provisions of the Labour Code according to the needs of employers
- appropriately applying theoretical knowledge of the Labour Code when creating the content of employee duties
- choosing from the various functional forms of regulation of rights and duties resulting from an employment relationship
- proposing practical methods and plans which can be applied by employers when employing employees
- creating correct labour-law and personnel documentation kept by employers on a high professional level |
