Course objectives:

In most industrialized countries, HR is considered a key factor that largely influences the success of businesses. Decisions regarding recruitment, selection, remuneration and training of staff affect not only the immediate performance of the company but also its future. This course aims to provide an understanding of the approaches and knowledge of the methods needed to work with people and develop human potential in manufacturing companies. The main objective of the course is to provide students with the information to acquire a comprehensive framework of basic knowledge of industrial engineering methods used to manage human capital in manufacturing.

Requirements on student
|
The conditions for obtaining the credit are active participation in the exercise, elaboration and successful defence of two current topics in the field of HR, one of which is a so-called current topic reflecting foreign so-called good practice, the other is a seminar paper on the assigned topic.
The test is oral. The exam mainly tests theoretical knowledge of the individual topics discussed. The ability to present and discuss in a cultured manner, the ability to explain the various contexts and the orientation in the current labour market situation are also expected. It is appreciated and taken into account in the performance assessment if students are able to analyse their own experience in the field of human resources management. The thematic headings for the examination replicate the content of the course.
