Course objectives:
|
The course provides students with the legal field of Environmental law. In the course students will be confronted with basic environmental- political approaches to study the legal principles of the constitutional, legal institutions and instruments of the national, European and international law.

1. Introduction to Environmental Law from the perspective of international law, 2. Environmental Policy of the Czech Republic and the EU, 3. Basic concepts, sources, and the system of Environmental law, 4. Principles of environmental law, 5. Constitutional foundations of Environmental law and the foundations of EU Environmental law, 6. Legal responsibility in environmental protection, 7. Direct and indirect instruments in Environmental law, 8. The ownership right in the field of Environmental protection, 9. Right to Information on the Environment, 10. Participation in decision making in matters of environmental protection, 11. Assessment of environmental impact and integrated prevention, 12. Regional planning in relation to environmental protection, 13. Legal regulation of the execution of public administration in the field of environmental protection.

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
Knowledge Graduates: Students will understand the professional legal terminology, learn the basic principles of the constitutional, legal institutions, resources and tools of Environmental law, become familiar with the relevant case law and understand the importance of educational, legal and scientific discipline Right Environment for Sustainable Development and its integration in the EU. It will be professionally prepared on completion of the special environmental law.
Graduate Skills: Students will know the technical legal terminology and legal institutions, resources and tools applied in the context of relations emerging in the field of environmental protection, identify and define the strengths and weaknesses of the current state of legislation. |
