Course objectives:
|
The course is designed as an introduction to the social and administrative sciences with emphasis on interpretation of the political, economic, cultural and historical topics related to administrative issues. Provides a general overview of the theoretical foundations of corresponding disciplines The course is based .on the methodology of examining social phenomena and processes, including an explanation of terminology. Students are acquainted with the relevant thematic areas of sociology, political science and cultural studies in relation to the theory and practice of public administration and regional science. The course establishes the basic body of knowledge for specialized courses, which follow this course in the regional and administrative sciences.

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
During the study the students learn the basics of the perception of public administration from the point of view of social sciences. Understanding of fundamental aspects of societal development enables students orientation in the complex problems of social economic and political aspects of public administration. Students will learn the basic conceptual structure in relation to the substantive issues of governance. Obtaining a basic knowledge will enable them to apply a qualified approach to the analysis of specific problems and administrative agenda. The course constitutes a knowledge base for related courses for regional studies and public administration. |
