Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to complete, through direct contact with artworks and exhibition spaces in galleries, the student's theoretical and practical knowledge, so far acquired in the field of arts. Further, to teach them to perceive difference between the exhibition spaces and their influence on the installation of works and to inspire the students to their future presentation of own works in space.

Credit requirements:
- Active participation in 4 field trips in one semester, - The ability to expertly communicate opinions of the artworks seen and the exhibition milieu.

Familiarizing with original artworks in major Prague art exhibitions, mostly of the 20th century and the present period (both Czech and international).

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
Students will be able to: -locate the exhibited artworks in the Czech and international artistic context, - critically distinguish programs of major Prague exhibition areas, - perceive the diversity of the exhibition spaces and their influence on the installation of artworks (type and size of space, lighting), - get examples of how to install artworks in a space, which will have an impact on their own artistic practice.
