Course objectives:
|
In the first half of the course, students will learn about the basic norms and methods of writing a legal text, especially the rules of formal editing, citation methods, work organization, procedure of preparation and text processing, ethical principles, rules of stylization and argumentation and the most common mistakes text. The second half of the course focuses on the practical application of acquired skills and familiarization with the methodology of individual legal professions, including interconnection with practical examples.

1.Formal adjustment I - applicable standards, basic methodological rules. 2.Formal adjustment II - typography, work with text editor. 3.Organization of work - time, research, documents, document management, control and cooperation. 4.How to write correctly - outline, structure, legal language, hypotheses, argumentation, stylization. 5.How to Write - Formal Mistakes, Linguistic Means, Argumentative Mistakes, Control, Ethics, Plagiarism. 6.Citation and references - citation methods, use, structuring records. 7. Ethical principles and professional ethics - codes of ethics, basic rules, ethics in writing. 8.Academic methodology - topic selection, hypothesis, conclusion, seminar paper, final theses - bachelor, master, rigorous, dissertation. 9. Professional methodology I - legislation - structure of the standard, legal definition, legislative rules, explanatory report, amendment. 10. Professional methodology II - focus on advocacy - corporate rules, contract, memorandum, email, letter. 11. Professional methodology III - focus on advocacy practice - petition for opening proceedings, remedies, transcription, replica. 12. Professional methodology IV - focus on judicial practice - decisions (types, structure, particulars), designation, protocols and protocol. 13. Professional methodology V - focus on notary practice - notarial activity, notarial record.
