Course objectives:

The subject is focused on acquainting international students with the basic institutes of the material and procedural Czech criminal law, i. e. especially with the principles of criminal liability, penal sanctions system and with criminal liability of juveniles. The course is though in English language.

1. The concept of criminal procedure law and criminal procedure, basic principles of criminal procedure, sources of criminal procedure law
2. Subjects in criminal proceedings - the authorities of criminal proceedings
3. Subjects in criminal proceedings - the accused and his/her defence councel, the injured person and the participating person
4. Providing of person and things for purposes of criminal proceedings - detaining and custody of the accused, edition and taking away of a thing, personal and house search (warrant)
5. Evidence in criminal proceedings
