Course objectives:

The aim of this course is to acquaint students with traditional board games, but also games with new and modern. To acquaint student with the rules of each game, but also a wide range of game modifications. Encourage students' ability of logical thinking, independent decision-making but also team-oriented thinking and cooperation.

Requirements on student
|
Registration to the course Physical Education do students according to their interests, abilities and sports skills. Conditions for gaining the course credit are: respect of the rules of teaching according to the study regulations at the Department of Sport of the University of West Bohemia. Credit is awarded for active participant during the lesson within the semester in their chosen sport specialization. The basic premise is regular attendance and active approach to teaching. Irregular attendance and a passive approach to teaching completely exclude the possibility of granting and obtaining the course credit. In the case of absence of less than 30 % attendance, the student has the chance to compensate the justified and excused absences and afterwards to get the course credit.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
Students completing the course have a general overview of board games, their history and rules. They are able to introduce and to explain the rules of the board games and they are able to organize a competition or simple tournament in the board games.
