Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to initiate the students into the issue of graphic procedures, tools and materials used in screen printing and to show the historical context of its origin and use. Further, to explain the relation between this field and the other ones, as well as the relation between its present position and the polygraphy. Another aim is to provide the students with possibilities of graphic expression in this field and to define the basic characteristics of this technology - its techniques and principles; also to train at students the ability of choice to individual realization.

Requirements on the student - Active participation in seminars, - Min. 80% attendance, - Participation at an excursion, - Practical tasks realization in the required extent, - Submission of a final term project.

Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
The student can see this discipline in the historical context, its relationship with other disciplines and the use of the same principle in polygraphist practice. Based on the experience from practical tasks, the student can identify individual working procedures leading towards recreation of a picture. After the course completion, the student can choose optimal means of realization of artistic intent and choose the most suitable one. |
