Course objectives:

The aim of the course is to furnish theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for work with material in space.

Requirements on student

Credit requirements:
- Regular active participation in seminars within the time specified schedule - at least 80 per cent.
- Ongoing compliance, consulting and submitting assigned tasks in the seminar required quality and deadlines established teacher.

1.-13.
1) Submissing project Nr.1: Modelling a theme - sculptural clay. Submissing project Nr.2: Free sculpture from objects the student has found. 2) Individual selection from drawn sketches. 3.-6. Modelling - continuous consultations. 7) Creating the mould. 8.-9.) Casting - continuous consultations of task Nr.2. 11) Retouch. 12) Continuous consultations and completing all partial seminar tasks in volume set by the teacher. 13) Handing in projects 1 and 2 in the required volume and quality according to the teacher´s instructions.

about the techniques of modelation ond its usage in different disciplines,
on how to adjust and expose the work,
about the historical and contemporary styling canons of sculpture and its translations into other media, |
Skills - skills resulting from the course: |
to transform a 2D drawing to a 3D object,
to reproduce a real or imaginary shape in sculptural clay,
to create a sculptural mould (from plaster, wax..), cast traditional or non-traditional sculptural materials into the mould,
to use and distinguish between various approaches to sculpture, realize basic sculptural tasks using various technologies, |
