Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to teach the student, on the basis of an individual theme and technique choice, to work exactly according to the selected theme putting emphasis on expression - on the examination and finding of the adequate relation between content and form.

Requirements for passing the exam:
- Regular attendance at classes, - Ongoing fulfilment of all partial seminary studio tasks according to the teacher's instructions in the required quality and time; hard work, creativity, dilligence, critical views required, - Active involvement in solving problems, demonstrating inventiveness, - Ongoing design, consultation and corrections of term project - Submission of the final version of the semester project (KP) to the teacher by the required deadline, in the required quality and time; hard work, creativity, dilligence, critical views required, - Presentation. Evaluation criteria: artistic level and creative designs.

Weeks 1 - 13 - Assigning the theme of semester project (KP), information about the course and requirements. - Zoomorphic shapes - their applications. - Medals, coins. - Eye-catcher, sign. - Design of handle, railings. - Design of banner, gargoyle. - Continuous input, correcting, consulting and the realization of sub-tasks during the semester. - Ongoing consultations, corrections and creation of semester project. - Presentation of the project in the final form to the teacher within a specified time and in a specified scope. - Presentation.

about creative procedures for visualizing proposed variants of the work,
about the possibilities of forming basic materials,
about the ways of thematic compositional and material relations in relation to the given topic of creation,
about historical and contemporary style canons,
about the form of presentation of the artwork,
designing variants with a view to correctly linking the function and aesthetic qualities of the artwork,
about ways of communicating with the developer of the work in order to determine his/her requirements,
about methods of critical assessment of own work in the field context,
about the possibilities of full involvement in the production team dealing with complex projects and commissioned work from the field of jewelery and metal processing,
about ways to justify and defend your own design activity in relation to other members of the production team,
about the appropriate forms of presentation and promotion of his/her artwork |
Skills - students are expected to possess the following skills before the course commences to finish it successfully: |
suggests variants of object, object, jewelry, both in flat and spatial layout,
designs a jewel with regard to the intended target group,
revitalizes and templates the stylistic affinity of his own work and other artists,
chooses the appropriate technology of model production and the technological process of artifact production,
realizes the final form of artifacts,
resolves the work piece adjustment,
presents his work,
the variants of the design of the work shall be submitted to the contracting authority and shall substantiate its preferences with regard to the assignment,
critically assesses his/her own work in the field context and style framework,
fully involved in the activities of the production team,
justifies and defends his/her work to other members of the production team,
creates complex technological project documentation and portfolio of the final work,
chooses appropriate forms of presentation and promotion of his art project |
