Course objectives:
|
The aim of the course is to teach the students to solve the land art problems in relation with the composition in concrete space; to teach them the land art creation according to the given theme (e.g. outskirts reclamation, dumping ground), the documentation of creation and its results (as a photography catalogue, 3-D animation or documentary film), the judgement and enforcement of the social necessity of the work.

Requirements on student

- Regular attendance at classes, - Ongoing fulfilment of all seminar studio tasks according to the teacher's instructions, - Active involvement in solving problems, demonstrating inventiveness, - Ongoing design, consultations and corrections of semester project, - Submitting the final version of the semester project (KP) to the teacher by the deadline, - Presentation.
Evaluation: according to the comparison of outcomes in the studio work, students' inventiveness.

Weeks 1 - 13 - Assigning the theme of semester project (KP), information about the course. - Progressive clarifying of the topic. - Land-Art composition. - Framing the composition in a specific setting (periphery, dump ...). - Exercise - incorporating Land-Art composition. - Land-Art composition - a particular solution in a specified setting. - Convincing formulation of the specified intent through continuous documentation. - Evaluating and promoting social desirability of its realization. - Illustrative examples. - Continuous input, obligatory corrections and submission of all the tasks as directed by the teacher, - Ongoing consultations and development of KP, - Submitting the final version of the semester project (KP) to the teacher by the deadline.

Successful completion of the main studio subject the previous semester. The course is designed exclusively for UUD students. Ability to formulate the intent.

Learning outcomes
|
Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
Students will be able to carefully place the Land-Art composition in a particular setting. They will be able to analyze various proposals for the solution, choose the best option and realize it. They will be able to substantiate the final artwork and present appropriate documentation of the course of the implementation and the final outcome in the form of a photography catalog, 3D animation (or film documentary). Students will be able to evaluate and justify the social desirability of the project.
