Upon completion of the course the student will understand the substance and origins of public power and organizational and functional structure of the state in relation to its inhabitants.

Learning outcomes
|
Knowledge - knowledge resulting from the course: |
The students will be able to - identify characteristic features of the state and its organization from the retrospective and recent point of view, - recognize reasons of the existence of public power and conditions of its justification, - identify role and position of the people in formation of the state and evaluate legitimacy for public power in relation to the will of the people, - classify, analyze and compare individual types of the organization of public power and also competency framework for state bodies, - differentiate between principal reference criteria of the assessment of the state and classify other states on the grounds, namely the Czech Republic, - analyze various concepts of relationships between the public power and people, recognize their various forms and aspects and evaluate the level of legitimacy of various state systems, - analyze the relationship between state and law, evaluate its different forms and the degree of legitimacy, - learn and use terminology and apply the knowledge of the Theory of State concepts to evaluate authentic phenomena and issues at global level.

představit fenomén státu v jeho historických i recentních podobách, analyzovat různá pojetí vztahů veřejné moci a obyvatelstva, rozpoznat jejich různé formy i aspekty a zhodnotit stupeň legitimity různých režimů, analyzovat vztah státu a práva, zhodnotit jeho diferencované podoby a stupeň legitimity , osvojit si a odpovídajícím, způsobem aplikovat odborný pojmový aparát předmětu a jeho pomocí na patřičné úrovni hodnotit aktuální jevy a situace v globálním měřítku, které spadají pod věcný rozsah oboru Státověda |
